I made 3 mistakes when building product...
Everyone skips tests to move fast. I did too. Now I can't ship a single feature without second-guessing myself. Here's the full breakdown of what went wrong building Linatora — and what I'd do differently.

When I started to build Linatora, I made three common mistakes. First mistake was to start from wrong platform. I decided to start with the mobile application and start to build backend around that mindset. So I created API endpoints and started to build React Native mobile application. And then I realized that probably there will be few people who would like to install this application. So I quickly switched to a web application instead. The next mistake I made was to plan too many features instead of focusing on core feature. I made this mistake deliberately because I wanted to learn the full stack development and I wanted to build product from zero. So in this case, I just needed to learn as much as possible. But the main mistake, the common mistake, which is like a true mistake, I made by skipping tests. And I've seen people doing it a lot, like skipping tests, and even in startups in order to move fast. But in reality, you can move fast at the beginning, but then it will hit you back. And this is what actually happens to me. So I don't have confidence in shipping new features anymore.
